For most people, it would be accurate to say that the majority of their waking hours are spent sitting or looking down at a screen. Studies have shown that on average, people spend 4-6 hours looking at their phones. The average person who works at a desk spends around 10 hours of their day sitting. These repetitive movements and postures create a breakdown and tightness in areas such as our shoulders, neck, hamstrings, and hips. This workshop will explore the relationship between these key areas in our body, with a focus on hamstrings and shoulders. It will also cover the danger in overstretching the hamstrings and how to counter this stress.
