Join the Museum of Native American History (MONAH) as we welcome Kiowa artist Travis Mammedaty for the next installment of Creative Visions, December 8. Mammedaty will explore the history, culture and protocol of songs for use in powwows. Creative Visions is a quarterly arts workshop led by Native American artisans at the Museum of Native American History. Participants are invited to cultivate understanding, respect and an increased awareness of cultural context by exploring Native Art. Creative Visions is a free program for anyone 14 years of age or older. Registration is required. Travis Mammedaty is a Kiowa artist who has had an appreciation of his Native Culture and history since his youth. Rooted in deep cultural values, Mammedaty’s musical work has allowed him to travel and work across Oklahoma and Indian Country.
